Swedish duo Icona Pop sure doesn’t follow the rules of commercial music. The wonder hit makers of I Love It, finally release their last effort called F U. Guess what it means?!
Exactly. With this angry F U track, Caroline and Aino send to hell a man who would like to spend the night with them, just because he feels the master of the disco, and only because of his cash. Cha-Ching. But Icona Pop are two strong, independent women that don’t need this type of things in their lives. So after playing with him, they tell him “F. U !!”. A good example to follow fellas.
F U is a wise mix of Icona style Pop, garage rock and electro-innovative notes that sound so glam lately. The style is psychedelic but rousing at the same time, and aims to give birth to a new club hits trend which, however, is completely different from the others we were used to from these girls. F U is definitely not a masterpiece, but just like their wonder hit, I Love It.
In less than two months the 2016 edition of the Euro Vision Song Contest will open its doors to the European most talented artists on the music scene. This year the EVSC will be held in Sweden after the 2015 win of Måns Zelmerlöw.
Since last year the EVSC decided to invite also Australia to attend this awesome musical banquet. Not a wise choice i.m.o. The Aussies indeed decided to proclaim 2013 X Factor winner Dami Im as their ambassadress in the old continent.
Dami Im is simply awesome. 170 cm of pure energy, talent and class. Her version of Prince‘s Purple Rain travelled all around the globe during her X Factor journey with Dannii Minogue. After many hits like Super Love and Gladiator in her homeland, the petite Aussie-Korean bomb will show to Europe what she’s made of with the Sound of Silence.
The track has literally everything it takes to become an anthem. Perfect eerie background matched with soft drums let Dami‘s voice starts this love song about distance and loneliness which culminates with a powerful chorus that will awake even the most distracted listeners.
It’s still to early to say something about the competition, but watch out Europe…Australia is ready to play one of her best cards. Enjoy Dami in the Sound Of Silence.
